Book: The Hidden Past
Title: The Hidden Past
(Star Wars: Jedi Apprentice #3)
Author: Jude Watson
Genre: Sci-Fi/Fantasy
Anna’s Rating: 2/5 (Sadness…this one was a let-down after the first two…may the next 15 be better.)

Really lacking in the Jedi wisdom department…this one is mostly about chasing around with some acquaintance Obi-wan made…an acquaintance with Jar Jar-like qualities… I think I’ve said enough.
The best part about it, I think, was Qui-gon giving Obi-wan a rock for his 13th birthday. If I ever choose to spawn, all my kids are getting rocks on their 13th birthday. It’s almost a pity I’m not teaching middle school…I could have some fun with that.
QUOTES:
“It is better to expect nothing, and let each moment surprise you.”
- Obi-wan Kenobi, reciting Jedi teachings, p. 9
(I liked it because that’s the approach I take when going to a new country.)
“Yoda says not, but he also says we should not rely on that.” (sigh) “It was a typical conversation with Yoda, so we should be prepared for anything.”
- Qui-gon Jinn, relating the frustrations of working with Yoda, p. 10
“Nothing is lost where the Force dwells, and the Force is everywhere.”
- Obi-wan Kenobi, recalling Jedi teachings, p. 89
