USA: NV: Las Vegas

As a kid, I was always determined to hit Las Vegas as soon as I hit 21…but somewhere along the way, I learned that you can travel overseas for about the same cost as domestic travel, I guess, so the idea got set on a back burner…now, years later, I finally made it.  (Thank you, Jimb!)

[Lunch with the gang from Cryptic Studios involved Warp Core Breaches at Quark's Bar and Restaurant...an excess I will not repeat again soon.]

The name of the game seems to be Excess.  Like the three LCD TVs in my hotel room…none of which were ever turned on, of course.  The endless piles of food…a city overflowing with alcohol…huge hotel complexes to get lost in…the most extravagant decor I have ever seen…

We had tickets to the Star Trek Experience, which was neat, though I felt guilty for not being a Trekkie…I didn’t appreciate it as much as I should have.  Jimb also got us tickets to the Cirque du Soleil performance of KA, which I watched with my jaw hanging open as people performed on the 360-degree rotating stage.  Absolutely amazing.
